Your information, handled with care.
This notice explains what information Oakline Web collects when you send an enquiry and how it is used.
Last updated: 9 October 2026.
Who we are
Oakline Web is an independent web design service based in the United Kingdom. For privacy enquiries, contact sales@oaklineweb.co.uk. You can email us with privacy questions.
What we collect
When you contact us, we receive the information you choose to provide, which may include your name, business name, email address, phone number and the contents of your enquiry. Our hosting provider may process standard technical information such as IP address and request logs to deliver and secure the website.
Why we use it
We use enquiry details to respond to requests, discuss potential services, prepare quotes and manage related correspondence. We do not add you to a marketing mailing list merely because you send an enquiry.
Our lawful basis
We generally process enquiries on the basis of legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries, or to take steps at your request before entering a contract, as applicable.
Where information goes
Enquiries submitted through this site's form are emailed to our business mailbox, provided by IONOS. Hosting and email providers process information to deliver those services. We do not sell your enquiry details.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, manage any subsequent business relationship and meet legal obligations. You can ask about a particular record by emailing us.
Cookies and external services
Our website does not deliberately install advertising or analytics cookies. Essential hosting or security functions may process technical data. Links to external websites are subject to their own privacy terms. This should be rechecked if analytics, embedded content or other third-party services are introduced.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase or object to certain processing of your personal information. Contact us to make a request. You can also contact the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
We may update this notice as our services change. The latest version will be published here.
